The
Summer Camp program at PLEA provides structured recreational
activities for children with serious emotional, behavioral
and developmental disabilities.
Designed for children
ages 3-18, the goal of the program is to reinforce
the behavior management lessons that children have
learned during the school year. Emphasis at camp
is on appropriate social skills and language development
according to age and interests through fun activities
such as:
|
|

|
- Arts and Crafts
- Free Play
- Games
- Cooking Activities
- Visits to Neighborhood
Playgrounds
- Field Trips to
Local Attractions
|
Children are placed
into one of our nine age groups, with twelve children
per group. Each group is led by an experienced group
leader, assisted by two counselors. Structured
programs are designed for each group based on individual
needs.
Limited transportation
is available through PLEA and from some school districts.
