PLEA
School is a licensed Partial Psychiatric Hospitalization
Program for children ages 3 to 14 years old. The school-based
partial program also can serve as an enrolled child’s
early intervention placement through local intermediate
units.
For
school-age children (kindergarten through age fourteen)
enrollment in PLEA School can serve as an Alternative
School Placement as determined by local school districts.
Intervention is highly specialized and individualized
to meet a child’s unique educational and behavioral
needs. Each child’s clinical team includes our:

Classrooms
groupings of children with similar chronological
ages, developmental levels, social and communication
needs are determined by the PLEA clinical team.
Currently we have 7 classrooms that serve 45-48
children, from 20 different school districts. Our
specialized instruction includes current data-based
methods of intervention such as verbal behavior,
visual activity schedules and communication, fluency-based
(generative ) instruction, celeration charting,
and advanced applications of applied behavioral
analysis.
